Holy Chic Maison is the expression of that belief. Rustic and refined come together through weathered textures, timeless pieces, and thoughtful details that create a home with soul. We believe the most beautiful interiors are shaped over time—through travel, treasured heirlooms, vintage discoveries, and meaningful finds. A home should tell your story, and helping you create those spaces is at the heart of everything we do.
Inspired by European living and old-world charm, our boutique brings together vintage finds, antiques, reproductions, and elevated goods for home and body—each selected to bring warmth, character, and beauty to everyday living.
For more than thirty years, opening a home and gift boutique was a dream quietly carried by founders Karen and Perry Schwarz. Over time, that vision was shaped by a shared love of design, meaningful spaces, travel, and the simple pleasures of home. While the dream was always present, the right moment to bring it to life arrived only recently.
Holy Chic Maison was created as a place that feels welcoming, inspiring, and beautifully lived in. From aged wood and soft linens to candles, books, garden-inspired décor, and thoughtfully chosen everyday pieces, each collection is selected with the hope that it becomes part of your own story.
As a certified interior decorator and lifelong self-taught artist, Karen has spent more than three decades painting decorative furnishings and creating original artwork. Working in oil, acrylic, and watercolor since childhood, her work has included artwork for The Hearthside Collection, a globally recognized home décor company. Today, that same artistic eye and passion for timeless design are reflected throughout Holy Chic Maison.
With years of experience in the construction industry, Perry brings a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, structure, and thoughtful design. A lifelong furniture builder and creative collaborator, he has worked alongside Karen on renovation and interior projects for many years, contributing both skilled craftsmanship and a shared vision for creating beautiful, welcoming spaces.

Every item at Holy Chic Maison is meticulously gathered from a variety of antique markets, quaint boutiques, and estate sales across the US and abroad. Founders Karen and Perry hand-select every piece, prioritizing exceptional craftsmanship and historical depth to ensure they integrate seamlessly into a warm, curated home. Karen applies her signature touch to the shop’s curation, fostering an elevated, European-inspired aesthetic that feels both timeless and lived-in. Complementing this, Perry curates a specialized “mantique” selection, focusing on rugged utility and heritage craftsmanship. Together, they offer a balanced collection of treasures that speak to soul and character, ensuring every find has a story worth telling.

Even when selecting reproduced or widely made pieces, Karen carefully curates a distinctive collection chosen for its beauty, quality, and uniqueness — often sourcing items not commonly found locally.
Many of the vintage and antique treasures throughout the shop are truly one of a kind, carrying the rich character, patina, and quiet imperfections that only time and use can create. In many cases, the same piece will never be found again.
At Holy Chic Maison, we believe these details are what make a home feel collected, personal, and beautifully lived in. Slight imperfections, worn finishes, and signs of age are embraced as part of each piece’s story and charm.
In addition to curating the shop, Karen also designs and creates repurposed furnishings inspired by the soft, timeworn beauty of the Gustavian aesthetic. Using layered milk paint finishes and old-world techniques, she reimagines pieces with a refined yet relaxed character. Many of these one-of-a-kind creations are thoughtfully built and finished together by Karen and Perry, blending craftsmanship, creativity, and a shared love for timeless design.
Do you offer handmade or new items too?
Alongside vintage finds, HCM periodically creates a selection of handcrafted goods made by Karen & Perry. Based on inventory and when inspiration strikes you may find hand painted items, photography, handmade wreaths, candles,repurposed pieces, and seasonal décor inspired by a passion for individuality and craftsmanship.
How often do you add new products?
Karen is always in search of the next beautiful find — whether it’s the perfect thoughtful gift, a timeless antique, or a distinctive piece filled with history and character. The shop is continually evolving, with new arrivals thoughtfully added throughout the seasons to reflect cozy living, gathered inspiration, and the changing rhythms of home.
Because many pieces are vintage, antique, or carefully sourced in limited quantities, no two visits to Holy Chic Maison are ever quite the same. Small collections, fresh seasonal additions, and occasional curated “drops” arrive regularly as new treasures are discovered. Created for those who believe beauty extends far beyond the walls of the home, this space is inspired by European garden rooms, old greenhouse charm, and the art of outdoor living. Karen thoughtfully curates this collection with the belief that outdoor spaces should feel just as welcoming, layered, and beautifully lived in as our interiors. As you wander through the archway, you will discover a curated blend of antique, vintage, restored, one-of-a-kind concrete pieces, and reproduced pieces alongside pottery, planters, botanical accents, garden décor, charming garden accessories, floral picks, and seasonal finds. Whether styling a porch, tending a garden, or creating a quiet outdoor retreat, Le Jardinerie invites you to step inside, slow down, and experience outdoor living filled with warmth, charm, and character.
What is your return or exchange policy?
Due to the unique and often one-of-a-kind nature of vintage, antique, handmade, and repurposed items, all sales on these pieces are final. We believe the character, age, patina, and imperfections found in these items are part of what make them special and beautifully authentic.
Returns or exchanges may be accepted within 14 days on unopened and unused reproduction or regularly stocked merchandise accompanied by a receipt. Items must be returned in original condition and packaging. Seasonal items, special orders, body products, and sale merchandise are final sale.
